New to Lootbound — run the first expedition, skim tips, or join the official Discord before you chase auras.
Inventory shapes, adjacent auras, turn order, and Slash / Crush / Acid / Chaos — the loop that decides a run.
Rotate Tetris-style shapes so weapons and armor actually equip on the hero and companions.
Adjacent tiles buff weapons and armor — slide one item and the whole kit can change.
You only control the hero. Initiative sets turn order; companions act automatically.
Slash cuts HP, Crush breaks armor, Acid bypasses armor, Chaos boosts debuffs.
Every Lootbound expedition starts the same way: win a fight, place loot on the grid, stack auras, then spend a Boss Part toward the final Guardian.

Lootbound tips verified August 15, 2026.
An item only works after it fits on the grid and stays equipped — a bag full of unplaced shapes is not a build.
You control only the hero. Companions fight automatically; recruit them mid-run at a companion node — Barracks is hub spend after the run.
Auras come from adjacent tiles. Sliding one weapon one cell can rewrite Slash, Crush, Acid, or Chaos output.
Slash cuts HP, Crush breaks armor, Acid bypasses armor, Chaos strengthens debuffs. Base damage is the untyped leftover.
At each biome end, pick one Boss Part. Those parts craft the final Guardian / Sentinel — do not skip the choice.
Dice rooms let you pick reward difficulty, then roll a D20. Extra dice can raise the chance; failure can leave you empty-handed.
